If you don't join one of the bike to work week events, bike to work anyway. Spread the word about bicycle commuting by being a "rolling billboard" and showing that commuting by bike is safe, convenient, and good for your health.
The more bikes there are on the road the safer it becomes for all of us. Make a stand and let your voice be heard.
I always spred the word about bike commuting and feel like I've converted a few people who ask about my folding bike on the train.
